Rules for visiting ringers
These guidelines are intended to help everyone enjoy the day and to ensure that each tower can keep to its timetable.
- Please don’t ring before the scheduled time. Ringing should only take place during the time shown in the programme.
- Follow steward guidance. Tower stewards may stop ringing at any point for safety reasons or to help keep visitors moving smoothly.
- Keep ringing to around 5 minutes per tower. This helps ensure that everyone gets a fair chance to ring.
- Ring within the band’s comfort zone. Please choose something that everyone in the band is happy and confident to ring.
- Independent ringing is required. All visiting ringers should be able to ring independently.
- Please wear your wristband visibly. Day ticket holders should ensure their wristband can be clearly seen by stewards.
By attending the open day, you agree to follow these guidelines and any additional instructions given by local tower stewards.
